Harnessing the power of data to create a better future for Aotearoa

Ngapera Riley,

Ngapera Riley from FigureNZ  shares her insights into the potential of data, the stories they tell and how the community sector can better utilise the data around us to create impact and change.

Data challenges us to pop up from our individual vantage points and see more clearly what’s around us. It enables us to understand how our experiences may be different from others.

Ngapera explains the free, independent services that Figure NZ provides and how they can assist the not-for-profit sector to better understand and utilise data for community development, so we can collectively work towards a better future for Aotearoa.

She also introduces Pātaka Raraunga – the world’s first Māori data platform bringing together data, tools, reports and presentations to help people find and use data for and about Māori people.
