Everyone currently listed in the Researchers Directory is invited to update their details. Regardless of whether you signed up recently, or a long time ago, we want to hear from you.
People working in communities throughout Aotearoa definitely visit the Community Research website when they are looking for a researcher. Researcher Directory listings were viewed over 4,500 times last year.
To ensure the information people view is useful, it needs to be up-to-date. Not only accurate and concise, but it’s helpful if each listing provides a full picture of each researcher’s expertise and experience, along with some indication of your values.
As someone listed in the Researchers Directory, we encourage you to review and update your listing. Without delay.
How to update your Researcher Directory listing
There are just two steps to updating a Research Directory listing:
- Find your current entry by visiting the Researchers Directory
- Type in any replacement or new text in each of the fields that are relevant to you. Use our updated version of the Directory registration form.
We’ll do the rest. When your update listing is ready, we’ll send you a message.
If you need any help or would prefer to send an update via email, please get in touch with Anne Hadjimi via email. Anne can ring you back at a time that suits you if you’d like to talk this process over.
Tips and treats
We’re encouraging everyone to check their listing later in the year – come back and check the entry is up-to-date. Add new papers, details of completed research project, memberships or qualifications.
We are looking into giving each researcher editing rights so you can update your page during the year. Until this is possible, please send any updates to firstname.lastname@example.org
Take a look at the Code of Practice – it’s just as relevant now as it when it was released in 2008. We’re asking everyone to re-confirm whether or not they adhere to the Community Research Code of Practice and the standard site terms and conditions.
Even if you created a listing recently, please check it as we’ve added a few new fields and researcher categories.
We will no longer be displaying CVs as these rapidly date. This type of information can be supplied to anyone after they contact you.
Suggestions for improvements to the Directory are welcome – we are collecting up ideas, ready for when we have resources available.
This is an ‘open’ Directory. We do not moderate entries, nor is endorsement from Community Research implied by publication.
